The situation in Mizoram and Manipur regarding the Myanmar forcibly displaced people (FDP) continues to be a concern, with the number standing at 38,890 in Mizoram and 7,300 in Manipur. In recent weeks, there has been an increase in the number of FDP crossing the border due to the ongoing conflict in Myanmar. The state security forces have been conducting door-to-door searches and making arrests, with 83 new arrests reported in Tengnoupal district last week. The Manipur government is taking steps to limit the number of new arrivals, such as increasing border fencing and putting pressure on resources for assistance.
