Strong Winds Strike Nigeria

On 30 April, strong winds affected some villages of Mutum Biyu Town area (Gassol Local Government, Taraba State, eastern Nigeria), resulting in casualties and damage.

According to media reports, at least seven people died and 300 houses were destroyed due to the strong winds.

Moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast over parts of eastern and southern Nigeria.
