Since 21 July, heavy rain has been affecting several parts of the country, including the area of Bangui city, causing floods and flash floods causing in casualties and damage.

According to media reports, at least 10 people died (of which nine in the prefecture of Lobaye, southern Central African Republic), three are still missing, and 250 houses collapsed displacing thousands of people.

For the next 24 hours, moderate rain is forecast over most parts of the country.
