Heavy rainfall and strong wind affected the Java Island and the neighbouring southern Sumatra Island over 7-9 November, causing floods, rivers overflow (in particular the Way Punduh River) and strong wind-related incidents that have resulted in damage.
The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 11 November, a total of approximately 300 affected people and 120 affected buildings (including a number of public facilities) across Garut, and Bandung Regencies (West Java Province). In addition, ADINet also reports around 750 affected people and 150 affected buildings in the Pesawaran Regency (Lampung Province, southern Sumatra).
Over the next 24 hours, more heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is forecast over the whole Java and the whole Sumatra.
