Cameroon has been subject to multiple epidemics for several months. This is coupled with increased flooding and conflicts in some regions. These different elements create an area conducive to the development of epidemics and disasters. The cholera and monkeypox epidemics are particularly alarming, with major concerns in the concern in the Far North, South West and North West regions, the Littoral. Cholera has been rife in the regions for several months and has spread this year to all regions of the country.

As at 17 November 2022, the report shows that there are 4 active regions and 20 active districts. A total of 13730 cases have been notified with 295 deaths recorded. Since October 2022, the cholera epidemic has hit the Far North region of Cameroon, precisely in the Departments of Mayo SAVA and Mayo Tsanaga with more than 305 cases were recorded, including 45 in Fotokol and 94 in Mora (Mayo Sava), 118 in Mokolo (Mayo Tsanaga)where the Minawao refugee camp was severely affected. has been declared in several regions of the country by the health authorities.
