
Heavy rainfall continues to affect Minas Gerais State (south-eastern Brazil) with floods and landslides, which have caused to fatalities.
According to civil defense authorities in Minas Gerais, at least six people have died. Since the rainy season (which started on 21 September), at least 20 people have died, and nearly 13,000 residents have been displaced across Minas Gerais, where 131 municipalities are in a state of emergency.
On 11-12, January moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast over Minas Gerais State.
