Severe weather conditions struck Quang Tri Province in central Vietnam from 9-10 July, causing widespread damage due to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds. The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reported that nearly 1,000 individuals were affected by the adverse weather, and a total of 192 houses suffered damages.
As the province attempts to recover from the recent calamity, the weather forecast for 12-13 July predicts lighter rainfall in the affected areas. While this brings some relief, the situation remains challenging as communities strive to rebuild and restore their homes and livelihoods in the wake of the destructive weather event. Efforts to mitigate the impact and provide assistance to the affected population are underway, aiming to facilitate recovery and restore normalcy in Quang Tri Province.
