The epicenter of the quake was located 26 km away from the largest nearby city, Dezhou, which is home to a population of 679,535 residents.
As of Sunday morning, reports indicate that 21 people from the cities of Dezhou and Liaocheng have been injured as a result of the earthquake, with fortunately no reported deaths. However, the impact on infrastructure has been severe, with 126 houses collapsing in the affected area.
