In the past week, the Ihiala Local Government Area, southern Anambra State, southern Nigeria, has been affected by heavy rain and strong winds that resulted in floods and severe weather-related incidents.
According to the National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria (NEMA), at least one person died, 642 people have been displaced, and almost 3,000 families were affected.
For the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain is forecast over the affected area.
