Heavy rainfall has been affecting several parts of Thailand, in particular the Northeastern, Central, Eastern, and Souther Regions) since 9 September, causing flash floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 14 September, two fatalities - one in Mae Hong Son Province and another in Phitsanulok Province -, two damaged buildings and a total of approximately 26,500 affected people across 11 provinces throughout the aforementioned regions.
Over the next 24 hours, more heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is still forecast over most of the country, except over the southern Thailand peninsula.
