The wildfires are still affecting several parts of Bolivia. According to COGIC the burnt area is approximately 180,000 ha and Chiquitania, Béni and northern La Paz are the most affected areas.
According to media as of 22 November, at least 1,500 passengers were affected by cancellations and delays at the airports in Santa Cruz, Cochabamba and Beni.
Following the activation of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) on 20 November, France and Spain have offered assistance consisting of Ground Forest Firefighting (GFFF) modules with over 180 firefighters and 1 drone unit.
The Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMSR709) was activated in rapid mapping mode to provide damage assessment.
Over the next 48 hours, according to the GWIS, the fire danger forecast is expected to be moderate in the affected areas, while it is expected from moderate to extreme western and southern Bolivia.
