Weeks of monsoon rain and successive tropical cyclones have driven a widening flood emergency across the Philippines. DSWD DROMIC Report 97, timestamped 21 September 2026 at 18:00 PHT, recorded 10,835,145 affected people across 7,083 barangays.
The latest report recorded 79,517 people still displaced: 24,745 in 330 evacuation centres and 54,772 staying outside centres. Authorities recorded 4,621 damaged houses. Compared with Report 96 on 20 September, the affected population increased by 17,080 while the displaced population declined by 5,606, including 3,934 fewer people inside evacuation centres and 1,672 fewer outside.
