Situation

The GDACS Orange flood alert for India now reports 135 deaths and 457,351 displaced people across the event period from 9 August to 3 October 2026. Compared with the 5 October snapshot, deaths increased by four while displacement remained unchanged. Earlier dated observations remain in the evidence history. Separate Bihar and Uttar Pradesh state-level reports are preserved in their own scopes and are not added to or reconciled with the GDACS national aggregate. Figures remain provisional and may change as authorities update their reports. The NASA Worldview image provides satellite cloud context over Gujarat on 18 September; it is not a flood-depth map.
