Kenya – Rain Triggers Deadly Landslide in West Pokot

Situation
Heavy rain triggered a deadly landslide in western Kenya on 14 October. According to local media , 2 people died in the landslide that struck in Weiwei, West Pokot County, burying at least 5 houses. Four people were rescued and several people were injured. The landslide also caused damage to roads, limiting access to the area. Severe floods struck in county in November last year , leaving over 50 dead and dozens missing.
