Situation
Severe flooding along the Euphrates affected Deir ez-Zor, Ar-Raqqa and parts of Aleppo from mid-May 2026. OCHA's 27 August update recorded about 13,000 affected households across Ar-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, 1,753 displaced households, 859 damaged houses and more than 30,000 dunums of damaged agricultural land. Earlier reporting also documented impacts in displacement sites and disruption to water systems and access routes.
